ELEPHANT HERD RELOCATION, ZULULAND CONSERVATION TRUST & MANYONI

Update from our successful elephant translocation that YOU made possible! Thank you :-)

From Manyoni Private Game Reserve, South Africa - to Babanango Game Reserve - a five hour drive to a safe forever home!

We were finally able to move the elephants from Manyoni Game Reserve to their safe forever home; Babanango Game Reserve - thanks to YOUR generous donations!

Our relationship with Manyoni and Zululand Conservation Trust goes back to 2018 when we were graciously allowed to film on their beautiful reserve to interview some of the courageous women working tirelessly to protect Africa’s endangered wildlife.

That experience became the multiple award-winning film; Breaking Their Silence: Women on the Frontline of the Poaching War by filmmaker, Kerry David. Determined to come home and be a part of the solution, Kerry enlisted a league of heart centered warriors to volunteer with her through Over and Above Africa to help raise funds for the much needed conservation work she was allowed to witness. While members and donors who support Over and Above Africa, can’t be on the frontlines physically, we can be a valued part of their success by supporting and partnering on projects that matter - from wherever we are in the world!

Our new relationship with Dereck Milburn of Aspinall Foundation, and Chris Galliers of the Babanango Game Reserve and our cherished and existing relationship with Karen Odendaal of Manyoni Private Game Reserve has opened up a whole new world for us to be of service to the wildlife we all love so much! We’ve been an impactful partner with their successful cheetah relocation project, the translocation of four lionesses and this elephant herd, and are excited to fund more of their important work next year too!
